Most recently, Lane served as General Manager at Fleur du Lac on the West Shore for 13 years. In that role, she oversaw Homeowner Services, Board Meetings and Minutes, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Maintenance, Security, Landscaping, and all office operations. During her tenure, she built lasting relationships and played a key role in modernizing and streamlining many operating procedures.

Prior to that, Lane dedicated 22 years to Sierra Nevada College, where she served in numerous leadership roles including Dean of Students, Director of Admissions, Director of Residence Life, and Director of Alumni & Parent Relations.

Lane moved to the area in 1985 to become Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at the University of Nevada, Reno. She previously coached at Green River Community College near Seattle, compiling an impressive 59–1 record. A former collegiate athlete at Stanford University, Lane earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and later completed a Master’s Degree at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She continues to compete in Masters indoor volleyball tournaments throughout the West Coast and plays beach doubles during the summer.

Lane is excited to contribute in a part-time capacity to an organization she cares deeply about and to continue serving the community. As she puts it, she “just flat out failed at retirement!”
